Please refer to the product photos for cosmetic condition. Original box, battery and power supply inclusion have not been confirmed.

The Dunlop JB95 Joe Bonamassa Signature Cry Baby Wah takes the classic wah sound in a warmer, more vintage-inspired direction. Designed in collaboration with blues-rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, it delivers a big, vocal sweep with the growl, harmonic detail and expressive feel that suit everything from slow blues bends to soaring rock solos.

With its striking copper-finish rocker and black housing, the JB95 looks as distinctive as it sounds. But the real appeal is under the treadle: a vintage-style Halo inductor, carefully voiced circuitry and a switchable bypass setup designed for players who care about how their wah interacts with the rest of their rig.

Vintage Halo Inductor Tone

The JB95 uses a vintage-style Halo inductor to produce a rich, throaty wah voice with plenty of harmonic character. It has the expressive, almost vocal quality that makes a wah so effective for shaping bends, sustaining notes and adding movement to blues and classic rock phrasing.

Wide Sweep for Expressive Playing

The foot-controlled rocker gives you a broad sweep, from darker, rounder tones at the heel to a more pronounced, cutting voice as you roll forward. The familiar toe-down switch turns the effect on and off, so you can concentrate on playing rather than adjusting controls.

Selectable Bypass and Fuzz-Friendly Design

An internal switch lets you choose true hardwire bypass or non-true-bypass operation. The non-true-bypass setting offers a slightly darker character that Joe Bonamassa favours, while the pedal's output buffer is designed to help manage interactions with vintage-style fuzz pedals. This flexibility is particularly useful if your board includes a Fuzz Face-style circuit or other vintage-inspired effects.

Key Features & Specifications

Model: Dunlop JB95 Joe Bonamassa Signature Cry Baby Wah

Effect: Analogue wah-wah

Voicing: Warm, vintage-inspired sound with a wide vocal sweep

Inductor: Vintage-style Halo inductor

Bypass: Internal switch for true hardwire or non-true-bypass operation

Circuit: Vintage-style components with output buffering

Controls: Foot-operated rocker and toe-down on/off switch

Finish: Copper-finish rocker with black body

Connections: 1/4-inch instrument input and amplifier output

Power: 9V battery or compatible 9V DC power supply (Dunlop ECB003 type)

Input Impedance: 800 kΩ

Output Impedance: 10 kΩ

Who Is It For?

Blues and classic rock guitarists, Joe Bonamassa fans and players who want a more vintage-flavoured wah than a standard Cry Baby. The bypass options also make it worth a look for anyone putting together a pedalboard with traditional fuzz sounds.

Our Take

The JB95 is a great example of a signature pedal with genuinely useful differences. The Halo inductor gives it a characterful sweep, and the bypass selection makes it more adaptable to vintage-inspired rigs. If you like wah sounds that sing rather than simply cut, this preloved Bonamassa Cry Baby is well worth checking out.

A place for players.
