SCHECTER GUITARS

Schecter Guitars was founded in 1976 by David Schecter in Van Nuys, California. Originally, Schecter Guitars was a parts supplier that provided high-quality replacement parts for popular guitar models from brands like Fender and Gibson.

In the late 1970s, Schecter started producing its own line of guitars, which were well-received by musicians and quickly gained a reputation for their high-quality craftsmanship and innovative designs. Schecter's guitars were particularly popular with heavy metal guitarists, and the company gained a cult following among fans of the genre.

Today, Schecter Guitars is known for its wide range of electric and acoustic guitars, basses, and accessories. The company has expanded its product line to include a variety of different guitar styles, from classic models to modern metal shredders, and its instruments are used by musicians in many different genres around the world.

PRODUCTION

Schecter Guitars are manufactured in several countries, including South Korea, Indonesia, and the United States. Many of Schecter's mid-range and high-end guitars are made in South Korea, where the company has established a strong manufacturing partnership with a factory that produces instruments to Schecter's exact specifications. Schecter also has a factory in Indonesia, where it produces a range of lower-priced instruments that are designed to offer excellent value for money.

Finally, Schecter's USA Custom Shop, located in Sun Valley, California, produces high-end, custom-made instruments that are built to the exact specifications of individual customers. Overall, Schecter Guitars uses a combination of global manufacturing partners to ensure high-quality, affordable instruments that are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of players.

Some examples of Schecter's own pickup designs include the SuperRock II and the USA Pasadena pickups, which are used on many of their high-end models. Schecter also collaborates with other pickup manufacturers to offer a variety of aftermarket pickup options, such as the Seymour Duncan Invader and Nazgul/Sentient pickup sets that are available on some of their guitars. Overall, Schecter Guitars places a strong emphasis on pickup design and offers a variety of proprietary and aftermarket pickup options to ensure that players can achieve the tone and sound they're looking for.
