Fender 2021 New Releases

Its that time of year!
This time every year Fender drops its new models on the Guitar nerd world, and as our minds explode with retail therapy delight our attention quickly turns to which Axe is going to market to make way for our new must haves. It’s a tough life but we can get though this together. So lets checkout just some of the Fender 2021 New Releases that are due in the coming months.
Alrighty then, so what’s NEW?
Signature models, this year we have new models from Kurt Cobain, J Mascis, Cory Wong and an incredibly special tip of the hat to Primal Scream. We have a new “Paranormal” Series from Squier. 5150 Amps get a revamp and a few more Guitars we can’t talk about just yet.
The Kurt Cobain Jag Stang
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s seminal record “Nevermind,” this Jag-Stang comes equipped with the same features that made it Kurt’s ideal instrument. It comes in Sonic Blue and Fiesta Red and also comes in a LH version in both colours.

The J Mascis Telecaster
Now while J was more known for using a Jazzmaster , he actually used a 1958 Top Loader Telecaster for a lot of his Lead plating on all the Dinasour Jr recordings. This guitar is definitely my favourite of all the new models. I love the top loader bridge, and the Sparkle blue finish with the mirror pickguard absolutely pops. Then Fender tops it off with a road worn finish maple neck. SOLD!

Cory Wong Stratocaster
Ok, so clearly, I have been living under a rock because I had no idea who Cory Wong was. So, for the last few days I have been listening to Cory Wong nonstop and this guy has some serious chops. If you’re not familiar with his work with the Fearless Flyers then you might have heard his work in Vulfpeck. No? Okay here’s just a little taste….
This model comes with “Cory Wong clean Machine” Seymour Duncan pickups and a slightly smaller body than a standard strat. Other features include a push/push pot on Tone 2 that bypasses the 5-way switch and defaults to “Position 4”. Also included are a Cory Wong hair tie (for muting the tremolo springs to achieve Cory’s rhythm tone), rubber straplock washer set and custom neck plate.

Primal Scream, one of my favourite bands from the 90s. The limited edition Screamadelica 30th Anniversary Stratocaster commemorates this pivotal recording with a one of kind all-over graphic of the stunning red, yellow and blue album art – including matching pickguard, pickup covers and knobs.
