One of the standout features of the American Professional II series is the neck.
The Deep “C” profile feels immediately familiar, but the rolled fingerboard edges, satin finish, and sculpted neck heel make the guitar feel smoother and more broken-in straight away. Access to the upper frets is noticeably easier, and the overall playing feel is fast without becoming overly thin or modern.

HSS Versatility
The HSS configuration gives this model a much wider tonal range than a traditional three single-coil Strat.
The V-Mod II single coils retain the classic Fender character with plenty of sparkle, clarity and bell-like chime, while the Double Tap humbucker in the bridge position adds extra punch and thickness when you need it.
One of the clever parts of this setup is how usable the humbucker split sounds are. The push-push switching system allows you to access more traditional single-coil style tones without the big volume drop that often happens with split humbuckers.
For players covering multiple styles or needing one guitar that can handle a lot of ground, it’s a very practical setup.
Improved Tremolo and Hardware
The upgraded two-point tremolo system gives the guitar a smoother feel and improved tuning stability compared to more vintage-style setups.
Fender also added a cold-rolled steel block, which helps add a little more sustain, clarity and top-end detail to the overall sound.
