Description
PRELOVED BOSS FRV-1 Fender Reverb
Preloved condition.
The BOSS FRV-1 Fender Reverb is a discontinued compact pedal created in official collaboration with Fender to recreate the sound of the legendary 1963 Fender Spring Reverb. Using BOSS COSM modelling, it captures the splashy, drippy character that became a defining sound of surf, rockabilly, country and vintage rock.
What makes the FRV-1 especially cool is that it was one of only a small number of BOSS pedals officially licensed by Fender, and today it has become one of the more sought-after discontinued compact reverb pedals in the BOSS catalogue.
1963 Fender Spring Reverb Character
The FRV-1 is voiced specifically around the classic outboard Fender spring reverb unit rather than a generic digital reverb. That means strong attack, splashy decay and the unmistakable “drip” players associate with vintage surf and early electric guitar recordings.
Simple Three-Knob Control
The control layout mirrors the traditional Fender approach with Dwell, Tone and Mix. Dwell controls how hard the virtual reverb tank is driven, Tone shapes the brightness of the wet signal, and Mix balances the dry and effected sound.
Official Fender Collaboration
The FRV-1 was developed by BOSS and Fender USA as an officially licensed recreation of the ’63 Fender Reverb sound. That gives it a unique place in the BOSS compact pedal line and helps explain why clean examples have become increasingly desirable.
Classic BOSS Reliability
Like other BOSS compact pedals, the FRV-1 uses the familiar rugged metal enclosure and straightforward footswitch format. It is simple to power, easy to fit on a board and built for regular live use.

Our Take
The FRV-1 has become a bit of a cult BOSS pedal because it does one particular thing really well. It is not trying to cover every reverb style — it is focused on that classic ’63 Fender spring sound, and that focus is exactly what makes it so appealing.
