Description
PRELOVED COLE CLARK Fat Lady Bunya Blackwood
Preloved condition.
The Cole Clark Fat Lady Bunya Blackwood is a premium Australian-made acoustic-electric built around one of Cole Clark’s most distinctive tonewood combinations. A solid Bunya top is paired with solid Australian Blackwood back and sides, giving the guitar a strong mix of warmth, projection and note definition.
The Fat Lady body is Cole Clark’s full-size dreadnought platform, so you get plenty of low-end authority and strumming power, while the cutaway makes it equally practical on stage. This particular guitar has also been upgraded with an aftermarket LR Baggs StagePro Element pickup system in place of the original Cole Clark electronics.
Solid Bunya Top & Blackwood Back and Sides
Bunya is a favourite Cole Clark top wood because it offers a strong, immediate response with plenty of headroom, while Australian Blackwood adds warmth, clarity and a slightly more focused midrange. Together they make for a very balanced all-round acoustic.
Full-Size Fat Lady Body
The Fat Lady is Cole Clark’s dreadnought-style body shape, designed for strong projection and a broad frequency response. It works particularly well for strumming and flatpicking, but still retains enough clarity for fingerstyle work.
Aftermarket LR Baggs StagePro Element Pickup
This guitar is fitted with an LR Baggs StagePro Element system rather than the original Cole Clark pickup. The StagePro Element uses an under-saddle Element pickup with a side-mounted onboard preamp, giving you practical control for live use and a strong, direct amplified acoustic sound.
It is an important modification to note for this particular guitar, and for some players it may actually be a positive depending on whether they prefer the response and control layout of the LR Baggs system.
Australian-Made Construction
The guitar features a Queensland Maple neck, She Oak fingerboard and bridge, Grover machine heads and Graph Tech TUSQ nut and saddle. The 25.5-inch scale and 44mm nut width give it a familiar feel for both rhythm and fingerstyle players.

Our Take
Bunya and Blackwood is one of those classic Cole Clark combinations that just works. The Fat Lady gives you the size and projection of a proper dreadnought, while the aftermarket LR Baggs StagePro Element makes this particular example a little different from a stock Cole Clark and worth noting for anyone buying it as a live guitar.
