A real-deal vintage offset with lived-in tone, era-correct parts, and genuine Fullerton history.
This 1974 Fender Mustang in factory Sunburst is everything a vintage offset fan looks for — original where it matters, player-ready, and full of honest character. It’s a Fullerton-made piece with consistent 1974 dating across the neck, pickups, pots, and wiring.
Stamped “70 2024” on the neck heel (20th week of 1974), it features original Fender gray-bobbin pickups (code 183974), untouched cloth wiring, CTS pots (1377433 – 33rd week of ‘74), and unmodified slider switches. The metal control plate, pickguard, bridge and tremolo are all correct and functioning.
The guitar has had a refret at some point in its life, improving playability while keeping the rosewood fretboard feel. The nut is original and still functional, though we think a replacement would unlock a bit more clarity and tuning confidence.
It includes a period-correct silver Fender Mustang hard case — a rare bonus that ties the whole vintage package together.
Wear is honest and natural: light lacquer checking, dings and scuffs from decades of use, and some vintage patina that can’t be faked. This is not a parts build or relic — it’s the real thing.
