Description
PRELOVED GRETSCH 6119 Tennessee Rose (2000)
Excellent preloved condition.
This 2000 Gretsch 6119 Tennessee Rose is a particularly cool example from the pre-Fender partnership era, built before Fender began its manufacturing and distribution partnership with Gretsch in 2002. It has the classic deep red Tennessee Rose look, full hollow-body construction, twin Filter'Tron pickups and Bigsby vibrato that make the model such an important part of the Gretsch catalogue.
This guitar is in excellent condition and includes a hard shell case. For players who like older Japanese-built Gretsch guitars, the 2000 production date gives this one extra appeal as a genuine pre-FMIC-era instrument.
Classic Tennessee Rose Construction
The 6119 uses a hollow laminated maple body with a set maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. The 25.5-inch scale gives it a slightly tighter, more articulate feel than many shorter-scale Gretsch models, while the hollow construction keeps the sound lively and resonant.
Twin Filter'Tron Pickups
A pair of Gretsch Filter'Tron humbuckers delivers the bright, clear and punchy response associated with classic Gretsch electrics. They retain plenty of definition with clean tones while still sounding focused and harmonically rich when pushed into overdrive.
Bigsby Vibrato
The Bigsby tailpiece is a big part of the Tennessee Rose experience, giving you smooth pitch movement for subtle chord shimmer, rockabilly-style dips and expressive vibrato without changing the basic character of the guitar.
Pre-Fender Partnership Gretsch
This guitar dates from 2000, placing it before the 2002 Gretsch/Fender partnership. These pre-FMIC Japanese-built models have their own following and are increasingly interesting to players looking for late-'90s and early-2000s Gretsch instruments.

This example is in excellent condition and comes with a hard shell case. Please refer to the product photos for the exact cosmetic condition of this individual guitar.

Who Is It For?
This is ideal for players chasing classic Gretsch hollow-body tone with a little extra collector appeal. It suits rockabilly, roots, blues, indie, country and classic rock, but the Filter'Trons and longer 25.5-inch scale also make it a very versatile stage guitar.
Our Take
A 2000 Tennessee Rose is interesting because it sits right at the end of the pre-Fender era. You still get the classic Gretsch formula — hollow maple body, Filter'Trons and Bigsby — but with the character and collectability of an older Japanese-built example. In excellent condition with a hard case, this is a very appealing piece.
