Description
The Preloved Xotic XSC-2 is a premium S-style electric guitar with boutique build quality, classic looks and a very strong spec sheet.
This guitar features an alder body, 2 Tone Burst finish, medium factory ageing, a roasted flame maple neck and fingerboard, and a versatile HSS-style pickup configuration.
The guitar has been professionally modified with Bare Knuckle Mothers Milk pickups in the neck and middle positions, plus a Tone Rider pickup in the bridge position. The original factory pickups are included in the case.
Boutique S-Style Feel
The XSC-2 takes a familiar double-cut electric platform and gives it the Xotic treatment, with high-end parts, a comfortable neck and a road-worn aesthetic that feels broken-in straight away.
The medium ageing gives the guitar a played-in look without feeling overdone, making it a great choice for players who want vintage character with modern reliability.
Alder Body with 2 Tone Burst Finish
The spec sheet lists an alder body with no top wood, finished in 2 Tone Burst.
Alder is a classic choice for this style of guitar, known for its balanced response, clear mids and versatility across clean, driven and high-gain tones.
Roasted Flame Maple Neck and Fingerboard
The neck spec is a real highlight here. The guitar features a roasted flame maple neck with a Modern C-shape, paired with a roasted flame maple fingerboard.
The fingerboard has black inlays, a 9.5"–12" compound radius and Jescar FW57110 fret wire, giving it a smooth, modern playing feel that works well for chords, bends and lead playing.
Modified Pickup Configuration
This Xotic XSC-2 has been modified from its original factory pickup configuration.
The neck and middle positions now feature Bare Knuckle Mothers Milk pickups, delivering vintage-inspired single-coil tones with plenty of clarity, character and dynamic response. The bridge position has been fitted with a Tone Rider pickup, adding a strong and versatile voice for driven tones, rock, blues and lead playing.
The original factory pickups are included in the case, giving the next owner the option to retain the current setup or return the guitar to its original specification.
Gotoh Hardware
The guitar is fitted with Gotoh Vintage Style + Locking machine heads and a Gotoh Vintage Style bridge.
This gives it a classic look while adding practical tuning stability and reliability for regular playing, recording and gigging.

Our Take
This is a very cool Xotic with the right kind of spec. The 2 Tone Burst finish, medium ageing, roasted flame maple neck and boutique hardware make it a seriously versatile guitar.
The Bare Knuckle Mothers Milk pickups in the neck and middle positions add a strong vintage-inspired voice, while the Tone Rider bridge pickup gives the guitar its own individual character.
