Description
PRELOVED Yamaha STAGEPAS 600i Portable PA System
Good preloved condition. Includes IEC power cable and the required speaker cables. Fully tested and ready to go.
The Yamaha STAGEPAS 600i is a complete portable PA system combining a 680-watt powered mixer, two 10-inch passive speakers and flexible mixing facilities in a package that's easy to transport and quick to set up.
It's a great all-in-one solution for solo performers, duos, small bands, presentations, schools, events, rehearsals and functions, particularly when you want a proper PA without having to assemble a separate mixer, amplifier and speaker system.
One important distinction with this model is that this is the earlier STAGEPAS 600i, not the newer STAGEPAS 600BT. The 600i does not have Bluetooth audio streaming. Instead, it includes a dedicated iPod/iPhone USB connection for compatible older Apple devices.
A Complete Portable PA
The idea behind STAGEPAS has always been simplicity.
The powered mixer stores neatly into the back of one speaker for transport. When it's time to set up, remove the mixer, connect the two speakers using the supplied speaker cables, connect your microphones or instruments and you're ready to go.
This particular system includes the IEC power cable and both required speaker cables, so the essential cables needed to get the PA operating are included.
680 Watts of Power
The STAGEPAS 600i delivers 680 watts of total system power, with 340 watts available to each speaker.
Each supplied speaker uses a 10-inch low-frequency driver and 1.4-inch compression driver, providing enough output for a wide variety of smaller live performance and general PA applications.
Maximum system SPL is rated at up to 129dB, giving the 600i considerably more capability than its compact dimensions might suggest.
10-Channel Powered Mixer
At the centre of the system is a 10-channel powered mixer, giving you enough connectivity for much more than a single microphone and guitar.
There are four mono mic/line input channels plus three stereo input channels, allowing you to connect combinations of:
- Vocal microphones
- Acoustic guitars
- Keyboards
- Electronic instruments
- Playback devices
- Additional line-level equipment
Channels 1 and 2 also provide Hi-Z capability for directly connecting suitable instruments.
Yamaha SPX Digital Reverb
The STAGEPAS 600i includes four Yamaha SPX reverb programs, giving vocals and instruments some ambience without needing an external effects processor.
Choose from:
- Hall
- Plate
- Room
- Echo
There's also a footswitch connection allowing the reverb to be switched on and off remotely with a compatible optional footswitch.
One-Knob Master EQ
Yamaha's 1-Knob Master EQ provides a quick way to adjust the overall system for different applications.
Rather than requiring detailed graphic EQ adjustments, the control allows you to quickly tailor the PA for Speech, Music or Bass Boost applications.
That's particularly useful when the system is being used by someone who doesn't necessarily want to become a live sound engineer just to run a small event.
Feedback Suppression
There's also an onboard feedback suppressor, another particularly useful feature for vocal PA work.
Pressing the Feedback Suppressor button allows the system to identify and reduce problematic feedback frequencies, helping you get a cleaner result without having to manually hunt through EQ controls.
Monitor & Subwoofer Outputs
Although the STAGEPAS 600i works as a complete standalone system, Yamaha also provided useful expansion options.
A Monitor Out allows you to feed additional powered monitor speakers, while the Subwoofer Out can be connected to a powered sub if you need more low-frequency output.
That gives you room to expand the system rather than having to replace the whole PA as your requirements grow.
No Bluetooth on the STAGEPAS 600i
It's worth making this clear because the later STAGEPAS 600BT looks very similar.
The STAGEPAS 600i does not have Bluetooth.
The "i" version instead features an iPod/iPhone USB connection, designed for compatible Apple devices of its era.
If Bluetooth streaming is essential for your setup, we'd recommend looking at the later STAGEPAS 600BT or using a separate Bluetooth receiver connected to one of the 600i's line inputs.

Who Is It For?
The STAGEPAS 600i is a particularly useful PA for anyone who needs something powerful enough for a real performance or event but doesn't want the complexity of a traditional PA system.
It's well suited to solo acoustic performers, duos, small bands, vocalists, schools, churches, community groups, presentations and functions.
It's also a handy system for venues or organisations where different people may need to operate the PA. The controls are straightforward enough that you don't need extensive sound-engineering experience to get a good result.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Yamaha STAGEPAS 600i have Bluetooth?
No. This is the STAGEPAS 600i, not the later 600BT. The 600i does not have built-in Bluetooth streaming.
You can still add Bluetooth relatively easily using a separate Bluetooth audio receiver connected to one of the mixer's line inputs.
How powerful is the STAGEPAS 600i?
The system provides 680 watts of total amplifier power, split as 340 watts to each of the two supplied speakers.
Does it include both speakers?
Yes. This is the complete STAGEPAS system with two matching Yamaha speakers and the powered mixer.
Are the speaker cables included?
Yes. Both required speaker cables are included, along with the IEC power cable.
Can I plug microphones directly into it?
Yes. The mixer provides dedicated mic/line inputs and phantom power for compatible condenser microphones.
Can I plug a guitar directly into it?
Yes. Channels 1 and 2 include Hi-Z capability, allowing suitable instruments such as an acoustic-electric guitar to be connected directly.
Can I add a subwoofer?
Yes. There's a dedicated Subwoofer Out for connecting a suitable powered subwoofer.
Does it have built-in effects?
Yes. The mixer includes Yamaha SPX digital reverb with Hall, Plate, Room and Echo settings.
Is it easy to transport?
For a PA of this capability, yes. The powered mixer stores inside one of the speaker cabinets, creating a compact three-piece system for transport.
Our Take
The Yamaha STAGEPAS 600i has been around for a while now, but it's still a very practical portable PA.
You get 680 watts, two proper 10-inch speakers, a 10-channel mixer, SPX reverb, feedback suppression and useful monitor and sub outputs without needing a rack of separate equipment.
The lack of Bluetooth is worth knowing about, particularly compared with the later 600BT, but it's easily worked around if wireless playback is important.
For live performers, schools, functions or anyone wanting a complete PA that can be packed up and moved easily, there's still a lot to like about the 600i.
This example is in good condition, fully tested, and includes the IEC power cable and both required speaker cables, so it's ready to set up and use.
