The dreadnought is the classic acoustic shape! The body size gives a full tone which is great for chords and rhythm playing.  The dreadnought is the most popular of body shapes ever and the sound is familiar and pleasing.

The solid sitka spriuce top of the SIGMA DME Dreadnought gives a richer warmer sound than a comparable instrument with a laminate timber top.  Solid timbers also dry and mature as the instrument ages to give even more clarity.

Mahogany timber back and sides provides the depth and bottom end which pairs perfectly with spruce top to give a balance of warm mids and lows and bright high frequencies.
