The Tanglewood Crossroads TC4-CE is a Super Folk cutaway acoustic-electric built to capture the look and spirit of classic American guitars from the 1930s. With mahogany used for the top, back and sides, a satin Whiskey Burst finish and onboard Tanglewood electronics, it offers a warm, woody voice in a more compact and comfortable body shape than a traditional dreadnought.
The Crossroads Series was developed with Swedish luthier Michael Sanden, Tanglewood’s Masterdesign consultant. The range focuses on carefully matched timbers, responsive soundboards and traditional-inspired construction, with a strong emphasis on feel, tone and value.
1930s-Inspired Crossroads Style
The Crossroads Series pays homage to the understated look of pre-war American acoustics. The dark Whiskey Burst Satin finish gives the TC4-CE a worn-in, traditional character that suits the all-mahogany construction perfectly.
Warm All-Mahogany Voice
Mahogany is used for the top, back and sides, giving the TC4-CE a strong midrange, smooth top end and dry, focused response. It is well suited to fingerstyle, blues, folk, roots music and singer-songwriter playing where warmth and clarity matter more than sheer volume.
