GIBSON Dirty Fingers Humbucker – Zebra (PUDFZB4)
If you're looking for a Gibson humbucker with some serious output, the Dirty Fingers is about as hot as they come.
Originally introduced in the 1970s, the Dirty Fingers was designed for players wanting more output, more attack and a pickup that would push an amp harder. It's become a bit of a cult favourite over the years, particularly for rock, hard rock and heavier styles.
The PUDFZB4 uses three powerful ceramic magnets with overwound, balanced coils, delivering plenty of punch, sustain and a strong, immediate attack. With an average DC resistance of around 15kΩ, there's considerably more output on tap than you'd expect from a traditional Gibson-style humbucker.
This version comes in the classic Zebra open-coil finish and features four-conductor wiring, allowing for series, parallel and coil-split wiring options.
It's also fully wax potted to help keep unwanted microphonic feedback under control when you're running plenty of gain.
