The BOSS RE-202 Space Echo takes the sound and feel of the classic Roland tape echo concept and puts it into a modern pedal with deep control, presets and stereo connectivity. It is built for players who want vintage-style echo character without the maintenance of an actual tape machine.
With independent control over tape character, reverb, saturation and modulation-style wow and flutter, the RE-202 can move from clean rhythmic repeats to worn, unstable and heavily coloured echo textures.
Deep Space Echo Control
The RE-202 gives you dedicated controls for Repeat Rate, Intensity and Echo Volume, plus Saturation, Wow & Flutter, Bass, Treble and Reverb Volume. A 12-position mode selector opens up a wide range of head combinations and rhythmic delay patterns.
Presets, Tap Tempo & MIDI
You get 127 memories plus Manual mode, onboard tap tempo and external control via footswitch, expression and MIDI. That makes it far more practical for live use than a traditional tape echo while still keeping the hands-on feel.
