The Dunlop Echoplex Preamp EP101 recreates the tone-conditioning character of the preamp circuit found in the classic EP-3 Echoplex tape echo. Rather than being a delay pedal, it is a compact preamp and boost designed to add warmth, presence and a little extra harmonic richness to your signal.
With a single Gain control and up to +11dB of boost, the EP101 can sit at the front of your chain as a preamp, after drive pedals to add body, or at the end of the board to sweeten the overall signal.
EP-3 Style Tone Conditioning
Dunlop designed the EP101 around a FET signal path inspired by the EP-3. At lower settings it acts as a subtle tone enhancer and buffer, while higher settings push into light overdrive.
Simple One-Knob Operation
The Gain control keeps things extremely straightforward. Position 5 is around unity gain, while higher settings add boost up to +11dB.
