The Foxrox Octron is an all-analog octave pedal that blends three separate signals: octave up, direct and octave down. First introduced in 2005, the original Octron built a strong reputation for its organic tracking and musical feel, especially with single-note lines.
Unlike a modern digital pitch shifter, the Octron has a rawer, more characterful response. The octave-up circuit adds harmonic bite and fuzz-like texture, while the octave-down side produces a thick monophonic sub-octave effect.
Three-Way Analog Octave Blend
The front panel gives you independent control over Octave Up, Direct and Octave Down, so you can dial in anything from subtle thickening to a full layered octave sound.
Organic Analog Tracking
The Octron is designed around traditional analog octave processing. It responds best to clean, articulate single-note playing, with the octave-down section being monophonic and the octave-up section becoming more pronounced higher up the neck.
Internal Fine-Tuning
The original Octron includes internal trimmers and a switch that let you fine-tune the character of the octave-up and octave-down sections. That gives the pedal more flexibility than the simple three-knob front panel initially suggests.

The Octron is a cult favourite for a reason. It is not trying to be ultra-clean or clinical — it gives you a very musical analog octave-up and octave-down sound with plenty of character. If you like organic, old-school octave effects, this is a very cool pedal to have.
