A seriously striking take on one of Gibson’s most iconic semi-hollow designs, this 2018 Gibson ES-355 Black Beauty combines the elegance of the ES-355 with the unmistakable look and attitude of Gibson’s legendary Black Beauty aesthetic.
Finished in deep Ebony with gold hardware, multi-ply binding and mother-of-pearl block fingerboard inlays, this is an exceptionally classy instrument. The three-humbucker configuration gives the Black Beauty a look all its own while also offering a broader range of sounds than the traditional two-pickup ES format.
The 2018 Black Beauty features a laminated maple/poplar/maple semi-hollow body with a maple centre block, paired with a quarter-sawn mahogany neck and dark rosewood fingerboard. Three Gibson MHS humbuckers provide everything from warm, rounded neck tones through articulate rhythm sounds and powerful bridge tones, with the modified MTC Premiere electronics allowing additional pickup combinations and tonal flexibility.
This particular guitar was produced in 2018 and remains in excellent overall condition. It has been played and shows some minor scuffs and light player wear consistent with careful use, but presents extremely well overall.
The original Gibson hardshell case is included. The case itself is in player condition and shows noticeable cosmetic wear from use and transport, but remains a fitting original companion to the guitar.
Importantly, the guitar also includes its original Gibson Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
