PRELOVED GIBSON ES335 Standard Natural 1988
A beautiful example of one of Gibson's most enduring designs, this 1988 Gibson ES-335 in Natural has all the character you'd hope to find in a well-played vintage Gibson semi-hollow.
This guitar is in good condition for its age and shows genuine player wear throughout. It hasn't spent the last 38 years sitting untouched in a case, and we think that's part of its appeal. Please refer closely to the photos for the cosmetic condition and signs of use.
Most importantly, it plays exceptionally well. The guitar currently has a super-low action and feels fast and effortless under the fingers.
The Natural finish is a particularly great look on an ES-335, allowing the maple grain to show through while giving the guitar that unmistakable late-'80s Gibson appearance.
Classic ES-335 Design
The ES-335 combines the warmth and resonance of a semi-hollow guitar with much of the sustain, control and versatility of a solidbody.
The centre-block construction helps control feedback while retaining the openness and acoustic character that has made the 335 a favourite across blues, jazz, rock, soul and countless other styles.
It's one of those guitar designs that can genuinely cover an enormous amount of musical ground.
Condition
This is a preloved 1988 instrument in good condition.
It displays player wear and cosmetic marks consistent with its age and use. We haven't tried to hide that history; this is an older Gibson that's been played and enjoyed.
The guitar has been inspected by our team and is currently set up with exceptionally low action.
