The LTD Ninja-600 is Michael Amott's signature model from the mid-2000s ESP/LTD era, designed around a sharp V-style body, set-neck construction and a classic Seymour Duncan JB/'59 pickup pairing. It is a purpose-built metal guitar, but the passive pickup set gives it more range and dynamics than many active-equipped instruments from the same period.
With a 24.75-inch scale, mahogany construction and Thin U neck profile, the Ninja-600 combines a familiar Gibson-style scale feel with the faster, more aggressive ergonomics associated with ESP and LTD.
Michael Amott Signature Design
Developed for Michael Amott of Arch Enemy, the Ninja was created as a dedicated signature shape rather than a modified version of an existing model. The result is one of the more distinctive signature guitars from ESP's 2000s catalogue.
Mahogany Body & Set Neck
The mahogany body and 3-piece mahogany set neck give the guitar a strong midrange, solid sustain and a substantial feel under gain. The set-neck construction also provides smooth access into the upper register.
Seymour Duncan JB & '59 Pickups
The factory pickup set pairs a Seymour Duncan JB bridge humbucker with a Seymour Duncan '59 neck humbucker. The JB delivers the upper-mid bite and output needed for aggressive rhythm and lead tones, while the '59 brings a warmer, more open neck sound for solos and cleaner passages.
24.75-Inch Scale & Thin U Neck
The 24.75-inch scale keeps the string tension slightly softer than a 25.5-inch instrument, which helps with wide bends and vibrato. The Thin U neck profile keeps the playing feel fast without becoming overly flat or insubstantial.
