The Maton SRS808 is part of Maton’s Solid Road Series and combines a compact 808 body with all-solid Australian tonewoods and the stage-ready AP5 PRO pickup system. It is a smaller-bodied acoustic that still delivers plenty of low-end depth, strong projection and the clear, focused response Maton’s 808 shape is known for.
Built in Melbourne, the SRS808 uses an A-grade spruce top with solid Blackwood back and sides, a Queensland Maple neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Please refer to the product photos for the cosmetic condition of this individual guitar.
All-Solid Australian Tonewoods
The SRS808 pairs an A-grade spruce soundboard with solid Blackwood back and sides. That combination gives the guitar a balanced response with crisp treble detail, strong mids and a fuller low end than you might expect from a compact body.
808 Body, Bigger Sound Than Expected
Maton’s 808 body shape is known for being comfortable to hold while still projecting with authority. The forward-shifted scalloped Maton X bracing helps the top move more freely, giving the guitar a more open and responsive feel.
AP5 PRO Electronics
The onboard Maton AP5 PRO system makes the SRS808 a serious live instrument. It combines pickup and microphone elements with practical onboard control, delivering a natural amplified sound that has made Maton acoustics a favourite with working players.
