Description
PRELOVED SQUIER Affinity Jazz Bass Black
Preloved condition.
The Squier Affinity Jazz Bass is a straightforward, affordable take on one of the most recognisable bass designs ever made. With its offset body, slim neck, twin single-coil pickups and independent pickup volumes, it delivers the familiar Jazz Bass blend of punch, clarity and versatility.
This black example keeps the classic look simple and clean, while the 34-inch scale and narrow 1.5-inch nut give it an easy, approachable playing feel for newer players and experienced bassists alike.
Classic Jazz Bass Layout
The offset body shape is comfortable on a strap or seated, while the twin single-coil pickup layout gives you plenty of tonal range. Roll toward the neck pickup for a warmer, rounder sound, favour the bridge pickup for more bite and definition, or blend both for the familiar scooped Jazz Bass character.
Slim C-Shaped Maple Neck
The maple neck uses Squier's slim C-shaped profile, making it comfortable for players who prefer a less substantial neck. The standard 34-inch scale keeps the response familiar, while the 1.5-inch nut width gives the neck a relatively narrow feel at the first position.
20-Fret Fingerboard
Affinity Jazz Bass models use a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius with 20 medium-jumbo frets. Fingerboard timber varies by production era, with older examples commonly using rosewood and newer instruments using Indian laurel or maple, so this listing avoids over-claiming the exact fingerboard material without a serial-number check.
Dual Single-Coil Pickups
Two Squier Jazz Bass single-coil pickups provide the model's core sound. The control layout is the traditional Jazz Bass arrangement: separate volume controls for the neck and bridge pickups plus a master tone control.
Simple, Reliable Hardware
A 4-saddle bridge and open-gear style tuners keep setup and maintenance simple. The fixed bridge layout makes it easy to dial in action and intonation without unnecessary complexity.
