PRELOVED Squier Standard Telecaster – Antique Burst (2017)
Excellent preloved condition.
This 2017 Squier Standard Telecaster in Antique Burst is a great example of the now-discontinued Squier Standard Series, sitting above the entry-level Squier models of its era with upgraded hardware, Alnico single-coil pickups and a full 22-fret neck.
The Antique Burst finish looks particularly good on a Tele, paired with a rosewood fingerboard and black pickguard for a slightly darker take on the traditional Telecaster look.
This example is in excellent condition for its age. There are some small, light player scratches on the back and one small ding near the control plate, but otherwise it has been very well looked after. Please check our photos for a closer look at the actual condition.
The Discontinued Squier Standard Series
Before the current Classic Vibe, Contemporary and Affinity ranges settled into their present form, the Squier Standard Series occupied an interesting position in the Squier lineup.
The Standard Telecaster featured a 25.5-inch scale, 22 medium-jumbo frets, 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and string-through-body bridge, giving it a distinctly modern and very playable take on the traditional Tele formula.
These have become interesting secondhand guitars because the Standard Series itself has since disappeared from the Squier range.
Classic Telecaster Pickup Combination
You get the traditional Telecaster arrangement of two single-coil pickups, with an Alnico-equipped neck pickup and Tele-style bridge pickup.
The familiar three-way selector gives you:

The maple neck uses a comfortable C-shaped profile, paired with a rosewood fingerboard, 9.5-inch radius and 22 medium-jumbo frets.
It's a combination that feels familiar without being excessively vintage. The 9.5-inch radius provides enough curvature for comfortable chord playing while remaining flat enough for bends and lead work.
At 25.5 inches, the scale length is the traditional Fender/Squier scale, so it'll immediately feel familiar to most Strat and Tele players.
Six-Saddle String-Through Bridge
Rather than a traditional three-barrel Tele bridge, the Standard uses a six-saddle string-through-body bridge.
Each string has its own saddle, allowing individual intonation adjustment, while the string-through design keeps the familiar Tele-style construction.
It's another reason these old Standard Series guitars represent a useful step up from the more basic Squier models of the period.

There are:
