The Walrus Audio Slö Multi Texture Reverb is built for ambient players, shoegaze textures and anyone who likes reverb to become part of the instrument rather than just sit behind it. With three distinct algorithms, deep modulation and a dedicated sustain footswitch, the Slö can move from dark octave ambience through to huge swells and frozen pad-like textures.
It is one of Walrus Audio’s best-known ambient reverbs, and for good reason: the controls are simple enough to use quickly, but there is plenty of depth once you start exploring the secondary modulation options.
Three Ambient Reverb Modes
The Slö gives you three core algorithms: Dark, Rise and Dream.
- Dark adds a lower octave to the reverb trail for deep, atmospheric textures.
- Rise creates an automatic swell into the reverb for cinematic, slow-building sounds.
- Dream delivers a lush reverb with a latching pad function for sustained ambient layers.
Three Modulation Wave Shapes
Holding the bypass switch while changing the mode toggle gives you access to three modulation shapes: Sine, Warp and Sink. These let you move from smooth pitch modulation to warped-record and downward-detune style movement.
Sustain & Momentary Control
The dedicated Sustain footswitch lets you extend and hold reverb trails for long ambient textures. In Dream mode, it works as a latching pad control, allowing you to capture a sustained wash and play over the top of it.
Trails or No Trails
The Slö can be set for either trails or no-trails bypass operation, so the reverb can either fade naturally after bypass or cut off immediately depending on your preference.

The Slö is one of those pedals that can turn a simple chord into a whole soundscape. Dark, Rise and Dream each feel genuinely different, and the sustain and modulation options make it much more creative than a standard hall or plate reverb.
