The Wampler Tumnus Deluxe takes the much-loved Tumnus overdrive/boost platform and adds far more control over EQ, gain and bypass behaviour. It keeps the articulate, high-headroom character that made the original Tumnus popular, but adds a full 3-band EQ, a Normal/Hot gain switch and the choice of buffered or true bypass.
That makes it much more than a simple Klon-style boost. It can work as an always-on tone sweetener, a clean-ish boost into another drive, a standalone overdrive, or a thicker lead-gain stage.
Classic Tumnus Voice with More Control
The Tumnus Deluxe retains the clear, harmonically rich response of the original Tumnus while giving you much greater control over how it sits with different guitars and amps. It has plenty of output on tap, smooth breakup and strong note definition.
Full 3-Band EQ
Instead of a single tone control, the Deluxe gives you dedicated Bass, Mids and Treble controls. That makes it easier to tighten the low end, push or scoop the mids, and fine-tune the top end for different rigs.
Normal / Hot Gain Switch
The Normal / Hot switch adds extra gain when you want to move beyond lower-gain boost and overdrive tones. In Hot mode, the pedal becomes thicker and more aggressive while still keeping good string-to-string clarity.
Buffered or True Bypass
A side-mounted switch lets you choose between the pedal's articulate buffer and true bypass. That gives you the flexibility to use the Tumnus Deluxe as part of a buffered pedalboard signal path or keep it completely out of circuit when bypassed.

The Tumnus Deluxe is one of the more flexible takes on this style of circuit. The 3-band EQ and Hot mode make it much easier to match to different amps, and the selectable buffer is a genuinely useful pedalboard feature rather than just an extra switch.
