The Gibson Hummingbird is one of the most iconic square-shoulder dreadnought acoustics ever made—famous for its warm, rich strum, strong midrange, and unmistakable vintage vibe. This preloved 2020 Gibson Hummingbird in Cherry Sunburst (Heritage/Vintage) delivers that classic Gibson voice that singer-songwriters and rhythm players love, with the big, supportive tone that sits perfectly behind vocals.
Built with a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the Hummingbird offers punchy fundamentals, a woody warmth, and excellent projection. A mahogany neck with a 24.75" scale length provides that familiar Gibson feel, while the rosewood fingerboard features elegant mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. Finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, it has the look and feel that players associate with Gibson’s golden-era acoustics.
Visually, it’s all Hummingbird: the classic painted Hummingbird pickguard and timeless Cherry Sunburst styling. Many 2020 Hummingbirds were fitted with LR Baggs VTC electronics (commonly found on “Original” spec models) for natural amplified tone when plugged in.
